The most famous tonic herb to come out of China, countering stress and improving physical energy and strength. Like ashwagandha it modifies the response to stress, enabling faster adaptation and recovery. Combines well with Ashwagandha, Siberian ginseng and Liquorice. Do not take Ginseng if you have acute asthma, high blood pressure or heavy periods. Do not take Ginseng with other stimulants such as caffeine and amphetamines. Do not take ginseng if you are taking warfarin. Not suitable for children. It is best to take Ginseng for a maximum of 3 months and then stop it for a month before recommencing.
